New subsea engineering partnership between Scotland & Japan unveiled

Scotland and Japan will unveil a new strategic agreement at Offshore Europe today, aimed at helping both countries capitalise on opportunities in the growing subsea and technologies sector.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be signed by Scottish Enterprise and the Nippon Foundation, following a short presentation from chairman of The Nippon Foundation, Mr. Yohei Sasakawa and Scottish Enterprise’s Director of Energy, Maggie McGinlay. Keith Brown, Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Jobs and Fair Work, and Koji Tsuruoka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Japan in the United Kingdom, will attend to welcome the new agreement.
